What you will experience.

In this plan, Snap Away in Tokyo!, we will walk around some popular tourist and photo spots in Tokyo and take photos of the great city of Tokyo with DSLR, mirrorless or 360 degree camera. I will lend you DSLA camera (Canon) or mirrorless camera (Olympus) if you want to take photos with the camera. I will also lend you 360 degree camera, Ricoh Theta, which can record everything around you if you want to use it. And I will show you how to use the 360 degree camera and apps for 360 degree photos on Smartphone/table. You may get a lot of “like” to the 360 degree selfies more than usual. At first, this plan starts at Shinjuku, a subcenter of Tokyo.

At first, this plan starts at Shinjuku, a subcenter of Tokyo. We are going to meet at West Entrance/Exit in JR Shinjuku Station, then we will go to Tokyo Metropolitan Government office. The skyscraper, the Metropolitan building, is one of the best buildings for photograph. Let’s take photos of the building! Then, we will visit a observatory (202 meters in height) in Tokyo Metropolitan Government office and take photos of the city of Tokyo below our eyes. I will lend you a useful tool for photography at observatory. After taking photos at the observatory, we will go to a calm park, Shinjuku Central Park, behind the Metropolitan buildings and take some photos with the high building. Then, we will go to a location in a big hit animation, Kimino na ha(Your name) to take photos. Let’s find the spot in the animation!

6 options between Shinjuku and Nezu Shrine

– Yanaka Ginza course: Take photos of cat’s objets in an old fashioned shopping street.
– Rikugien course: Take photos of scenery of a traditional Japanese garden built in the Edo period.
– The East Gardens of the Imperial Palace course: There are some remnants of the Edo castle in the East Gardens. The Edo castle became the Imperial Palace about 150 years ago. We can enter only the East Gardens, east part of the Imperial Palace. (No plan on Monday and Friday)
– Harajuku course: Harajuku is famous as Kawaii pop culture town. There are a lot of girls and young ladies in Takeshita Shopping Street. We will take street photos in the unique street.
– Hibiya course: There is a latest fashioned building in Hibiya. We will take street photos in the building.
– Shinjuku Gyoen course: Take more photos in some streets and Shinjuku Gyoen Park. (No plan on Monday)

After the option cause, we will visit Nezu Shrine. Nezu Shrine is a historical shrine built in the Edo period. In the shrine’s ground, there is another shrine, a Inari shrine, with a lot of small red torii gates. You can walk under the red gates in Tokyo! There are a lot of photo spots in Nezu Shrine.

In the end, we will go to one of the most sophisticated business district, Marunouchi, Most office women workers in Japan want to work in Marunouchi at least once. In the twilight, the town changes more photogenic town. lights in the streets and buildings begin shining. Marunouchi building of JR Tokyo Station is one of the most photogenic buildings in Tokyo.
